Parish Council
The Parish Council is the first tier of government. The next tier being Shropshire Council.
Parish Councils were formed by an Act of Parliament in 1894 and they are specifically to look after the interests of those who live within the parish.
Parish Councillors are not paid. The Parish Council have limited powers but a reasonable amount of influence. Shropshire Council will consult the Parish Council and take heed of their views. The Council is here to represent the residents of the Parish of Culmington in matters of local government.
Parish Council meetings are open to the public and are on the following dates at Culmington Village Hall:
